"Hilfsmittel bei rheumatischen Erkrankungen"

Der Hilfsmitteleinsatz bei rheumatischen Erkrankungen unterstützen Menschen dabei, ihre tagtäglichen herausfordernden Tätigkeiten selbstständig durchzuführen. Nicht jede:r Rheumapatient:in kennt diese sehr wichtigen „Helferleins“ oder diese wurden bei einem Reha-Aufenthalt von einem Ergotherapeut:innen-Team angepasst, doch zu Hause fanden sie keine Verwendung, entweder wurde die Anwendung vergessen oder vieles ist nicht selbsterklärend und daher verschwindet das Hilfsmittel in der Lade. Vielen Rheumapatient:innen, besonders mit einer gelenkzerstörenden rheumatoiden Arthritis, ist die Wichtigkeit der Verwendung eines Gelenkschutzes nicht genug bekannt, um die Gelenkfunktion so lange als möglich zu erhalten. Überbelastungen der Gelenke können zu Schmerzen führen und einen Rheumaschub auslösen. Das Wissen über die praktischen Hilfsmittel und die richtigen und regelmäßigen Anwendungen spielt eine große Rolle, um die Gelenkzerstörung zu verhindern und die damit verbundenen Einschränkungen zu optimieren. Der Alltag kann vom Betroffenen besser und selbstständig bewältigt werden. Der Preis ist mehr Lebensqualität für Betroffene.
Wie Sie Ihre täglichen Aktivitäten gelenkschonend im Alltag langfristig einbinden können und worauf zu achten ist, darauf wird von Frau Cornelia Kolar, Ergotherapeutin, in ihrem Vortrag eingehen und Ihnen viele Tipps und Tricks an die Hand geben.

We are pleased to announce that the 13th International Conference on Reproduction, Pregnancy and Rheumatic diseases (RheumaPreg) will be held in Vienna on 8-10 May 2025.
